The Jordanian Eastern Command, in coordination with military security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, successfully thwarted a drug smuggling attempt originating from Syrian territory on Wednesday evening.

A military source from the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) reported that, following intensified search and inspection operations, authorities discovered and seized significant quantities of narcotics.

The drugs have been handed over to the relevant authorities for further action.

The source emphasized JAF’s commitment to utilizing all available resources to prevent infiltration and smuggling activities.
